Okay, maybe they are NOT world class athletes, but they certainly know how to enjoy a community outing that includes a round of mini-golf and premium ice cream. Winners of the First Annual South Shore Ad Club Mini-Golf Tournament to benefit the Greater Boston Food Bank were Delaney Small, a Bridgewater resident and Elise Beaulieu, a Scituate resident.
The event took place on Wednesday, June 15 at the Crescent Ridge Dairy, 176 Franklin Street, Route 37, Holbrook, MA. Crescent Ridge provided the mini-golf course and ice cream at cost and encourage other community groups to enjoy similar events.
The more than 20 participants enjoyed a round of mini-golf and an ice cream sundae, frappe or cone of their choice. $300 was raised and donated to Greater Boston Food Bank.
“Most business executives understand the power of schmoozing on the golf course,” noted Steve Dubin, president of the South Shore Ad Club. “This event takes that to a whole other level – a miniature one.”
Dubin added, “This was a fun, tasty and civic-minded event prior to the South Shore Ad Club’s summer break. We were delighted to collaborate with Crescent Ridge Dairy, based in Holbrook and Sharon, who are very involved with the community and gave us the run of the dairy bar and mini-golf course for the evening. Does it get any better than the combination of ice cream, mini golf and a great cause? We enjoyed participation from families, couples and individuals who appreciated the perfect evening out.”
